Toccoa Plant to Host 20th Anniversary Media Event with Donation Ceremony and Employee Celebration
American Woodmark Corporation (AWC) (NASDAQ: AMWD), a leading supplier of cabinetry to the new home construction and remodeling industries, celebrates the 20th anniversary of its Toccoa, Ga., manufacturing facility in 2008. The company will be commemorating this milestone with a variety of special events and programs celebrating its employees and partnership with the community throughout the year. A press and dignitary luncheon will also be held in June to further the celebration and announce a charitable donation to Habitat for Humanity.
“American Woodmark is proud to celebrate 20 years of success in Toccoa,” said Jeff Rice, plant manager, Toccoa, American Woodmark. “Through the dedication of our employees and the support of our community, we continue to grow and be able to give something back. We look forward to the next 20 years of excellence.”
American Woodmark Corporation is reflecting on two decades of success and milestones in Toccoa with several celebratory events.
As part of the plant’s 20th anniversary celebration in June, two kitchens will be donated by the Toccoa plant to the Habitat for Humanity. The kitchens will benefit two new houses being built by Habitat for Humanity in the Toccoa area, and the donation ceremony will take place during the dignitary and press event on June 5.
“The two donated kitchens mark two decades of excellence and growth at the Toccoa plant,” said Rice. “We are proud to continue American Woodmark’s longstanding commitment to the Toccoa community.”
The plant will honor and recognize a group of 20-year employees during a plant-wide luncheon on June 5. An employee appreciation day celebrating the anniversary will take place during an upcoming company picnic.
“The backbone of the plant is made up of the employees,” says Rice. “This event will celebrate their hard work and commitment, without which, the plant would not exist.”
