A. American Woodmark recorded sales of more than $407 million in Fiscal Year 2010. We are a core vendor to Home Depot and Lowe’s while also providing support to many national and key builders/dealers and distributors across the United States.

A. Yes, American Woodmark shares are traded on the NASDAQ National Market under the symbol "AMWD."

A. American Woodmark employs more than 3,000 employees throughout the United States.
Q. Who are some of American Woodmark's customers?
A. Woodmark maintains long-term customer relationships with The Home Depot and Lowe's Home Improvement Warehouse. We also sell to several of the top 50 major homebuilders, as well as to dealers and distributors located across the United States.

A. Headquartered in Winchester, Va., American Woodmark is a fully integrated, Just In Time (JIT) cabinet manufacturer. The company operates 11 manufacturing facilities, in Arizona, Georgia, Indiana, Kentucky, Maryland, Tennessee, Virginia, and West Virginia, and 10 builder centers across the country.

Q. I'm interested in an internship with your company. How do I apply? Does American Woodmark offer paid internships and co-op opportunities?
A. At current, we do not have a formalized internship program to offer. While we do not have any internships to offer, we strongly encourage you to reach out to our college recruiters to discuss future opportunities through the Career Orientation and Development Program.
Q. What do you look for in an employee?
A. As one of the country's leading cabinet manufacturers, we are looking for high-energy, dedicated individuals to join our manufacturing team. All of our employees must be able to work in a team environment and be self-driven. Training for all of our positions will be provided through classroom, computer-based, and on-the-job training.
Q. Does American Woodmark offer tuition reimbursement to its employees?
A. Tuition reimbursement is a benefit offered to full-time, permanent employees.
Q. Does American Woodmark offer rotational programs for new college graduate employees?
A. The Career Orientation and Development Program is a management-in-training program offered to a select group of college graduates. It allows program participants to experience various training opportunities so that they can learn the business. While this program is intended for recent college graduates, not all college graduates need to go through the Career Orientation and Development program to work for American Woodmark.
Q. What type of training does American Woodmark offer?
A. The company offers a wide range of internal professional development and training opportunities, including continuous improvement training, software training, skill-based training, on-the-job training and professional development training. American Woodmark mandates cultural, technical and developmental training each year for every employee. Employees and managers work together to plan professional development activities to complement annual performance goals and objectives.
