Monticello Plant hosts Board of Directors

The Monticello, KY Plant welcomed our Board of Directors for a tour and meeting on the 17th and 18th of February. Members of the Board, Rob Adams, Scott Culbreth, Cary Dunston, Chris Utz, the REC, and Monticello’s Plant Leadership Team (PLT) spent time observing the plant’s operations and meeting with employees. During the tour, the group viewed the advances in automation throughout the factory.

In addition to observing the recent investments that were highlighted during the tour, the Monticello location was selected due to the overall positive performance. During the tour, Monticello’s PLT was able to share the successes and hard work of the team. Some of the key take-aways from the tour were that they have an extraordinary focus on safety, great community connections, the many contributions through the REC and AWC Foundation, and most importantly they have a wonderful team of great people.

"It’s both exciting and an honor that [the Board of Directors] took the time to visit with us. It really energizes our team to want to do your best."

When gathering feedback from the meeting, the group expressed that they had a fantastic visit and cannot wait to connect with additional American Woodmark sites in the future!
