Last time in our What’s in Your Cabinet series, we brought you sausage and peppers. This time, we're proud to present a crowd favorite, Baked Honey Lime Chicken Taquitos with Cilantro Lime Cream!


Marita Charron, Builder Service Representative at our Atlanta Service Center, is sharing her son's favorite meal.

“There is a local restaurant here that makes this amazing cilantro sauce, it’s seriously good on everything! I decided to try and recreate the sauce. I brought everything over to a friend’s house for a get together and they were a huge hit.” said Marita.

Baked Honey Lime Chicken Taquitos with Cilantro Lime Cream

  • 3 Cups - Shredded Chicken
  • 3 TBSP - Fresh Lime Juice
  • 1/3 Cup - Honey
  • 1 TBSP - Chili Powder
  • 1 TSP - Cumin
  • 1/2 TSP - Salt
  • 2 Cups - Shredded Cheese
  • 10 Small Flour Tortillas
  • 1 TBSP - Olive Oil

Preheat oven to 375 degrees. In a large bowl, combine chicken, lime juice, honey, chili powder, cumin, garlic powder and salt. Mix to coat. Lay out tortillas and divide chicken mixture evenly in the center of each tortilla. Top each with cheese. Roll each tortilla tightly, leaving the ends open, place on baking sheet sprayed with cooking spray. Brush tops with olive oil and sprinkle with salt. Bake 5 minutes, flip over. Bake 5 minutes more, flip them again. Bake 5 more final minutes for a total of 15 minutes.

  • 1 Cup - Light Sour Cream
  • 1/3 Cup - Salsa Verde
  • 1 TBSP - Fresh Lime Juice
  • 1 TSP - Salt
  • 1/2 Bunch Fresh Cilantro

In a food processor or blender, combine all ingredients for cilantro lime cream and blend until smooth. Dip hot taquitos in cool sauce.
