Timberlake cabinetry wins award from Lennar

October 2, 2020

The Little Red Hen Award is given out by Lennar, a top home builder, as a way of recognizing trade partners that reflect their culture and core values. Recipients go above and beyond and find new ways to bring value to Lennar, including partnering in community involvement.

Timberlake Cabinetry is a proud 2020 recipient of the Little Red Hen Award!

Lennar is one of the top builders in the country, building new homes in 22 states. “The Little Red Hen poem was first introduced at a Division Presidents’ meeting in 1982 and has grown into a Lennar phenomenon. This insightful little rhyme has become a symbol of the way we do things at Lennar. We not only memorize its lines to recite in front of a crowd, but we also learn its true meaning and how it applies to every department and every Associate in our Company.

It shows us that there is always new ground to discover and new ways of finding success, if only you look for them. The Little Red Hen binds Lennar Associates all across the nation.”

The Little Red Hen Poem

The little Red Hen was in the farmyard with her chickens, when she found a grain of wheat.
"Who will plant this wheat?" she said.
"Not I," said the Goose.
"Not I," said the Duck.
"I will, then," said the little Red Hen, and she planted the grain of wheat.
When the wheat was ripe she said, "Who will take this wheat to the mill?"
"Not I," said the Goose.
"Not I," said the Duck.
"I will, then," said the little Red Hen, and she took the wheat to the mill.
When she brought the flour home she said, "Who will make some bread with this flour?"
"Not I," said the Goose.
"Not I," said the Duck.
"I will, then," said the little Red Hen.
When the bread was baked, she said, "Who will eat this bread?"
"I will," said the Goose.
"I will," said the Duck.
"No, you won't," said the little Red Hen. "I shall eat it myself. Cluck! cluck!" And she called her chickens to help her.
