The new building and assembly cells were fully functional in late-January. "These capital investments will add 45 well-paying jobs to the local economy in Gas City."
The Gas City Plant opened in 1999 and is one of 17 American Woodmark manufacturing facilities across North America.
“It was a team effort all the way,” said Tim Wik, plant engineer at Gas City Plant. “Not only did we have a tight-knit project team, but our entire Gas City Plant team worked together to get this project off the ground and completed on time.”
In addition to working alongside the state government throughout the project, the team also worked closely with local community leadership, including Mayor Bill Rock, the City Council of Gas City and the Grant County Manufacturing Council to open the new building and install the additional assembly cell.
