Anha Hampton Awarded the 2024 Jeffrey S. Holcomb Scholarship

August 9, 2024

We are pleased to announce that Ahna Hampton is the 2024 recipient of the Jeffrey S. Holcomb Scholarship. Ahna is the daughter of Jennifer Hampton, Territory Business Manager for the Mid-Atlantic region.

The Jeffrey S. Holcomb Scholarship was established by the Board of Directors to honor Jeffrey S. Holcomb’s leadership and service as a founder, Director, and Vice President of Finance at American Woodmark. This scholarship is awarded annually to the dependent of a team member selected by an independent external advisory committee.

From co-founding a Women in STEM club to mentoring incoming freshmen and even working with the Junior Federated Women’s Club of Chester to distribute Thanksgiving baskets, Ahna has shown a strong commitment to helping others. As a team captain, she also mentored her fellow volleyball team members.

Ahna’s passion for animal science and medicine led her to pursue a degree in biology at the University of Virginia. She hopes to become a skilled veterinarian with her own practice, focusing on small animal medicine and specialized orthopedic surgery.

We are excited to support Ahna as she begins her studies at UVA and looks forward to seeing all that she will accomplish!
