Awards recognition

2025 Jeffrey S. Holcomb Scholarship Awarded to Brianna Espinosa

June 18, 2025

We are proud to announce that Brianna Espinosa has been selected as the recipient of the 2025 Jeffrey S. Holcomb Scholarship. Brianna is the daughter of Ana Espinosa, HR Supervisor at our Lincolnton manufacturing facility, and her accomplishments, drive, and vision for the future make her a standout choice for this year’s award.

Brianna will attend NC State University this fall, where she plans to study political science with a focus on government and law. Her goal is to pursue a career in public service—advocating for meaningful change and working to build a more just and equitable society. With a sharp interest in how laws are created and policies shaped, Brianna is passionate about understanding the systems that affect everyday life and using that knowledge to make a difference.

In addition to her academic pursuits, Brianna enjoys puzzles and dancing—two hobbies that reflect her curiosity, energy, and thoughtful approach to solving problems. She credits much of her motivation and success to her mother, Ana, whose example of hard work and resilience continues to inspire her.

Established by the Board of Directors, the Jeffrey S. Holcomb Scholarship honors one of American Woodmark’s founders and former Vice President of Finance. Each year, the scholarship is awarded to the dependent of an employee, selected by an independent external advisory committee, in recognition of academic promise, character, and potential for future leadership.

Please join us in congratulating Brianna on this well-earned recognition. We wish her the very best as she begins this exciting next chapter—and look forward to seeing the impact she will make in the years ahead!
