Joel Charlton Welcome

We are pleased to announce that Joel Charlton will join the American Woodmark team as Vice President and General Manager, New Construction, effective May 2, 2022. 

Joel will be responsible for developing and implementing our market and growth strategy for the New Construction business segment across the US.  

Joel brings over twenty years of multi-functional experience across the building products industry where he most recently served as President of Boral Building Products Inc. and Boral Windows LLC. He has held a number of leadership positions including Group President, Windows, Energy, and Innovation, and was a Board Member for USGBORAL JV. Joel also held roles with increasing responsibility for Exide Technologies and Georgia Pacific, LLC. Joel started his career as an intellectual property attorney before finding his passion in leading businesses.

Joel received his bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Massachusetts – Amherst. In addition to his undergraduate degree, Joel holds a juris doctor degree from the University of New Hampshire School of Law.
